At least 4 years of professional open-source systems experience
A bright mind (usually PhD but some have no degree at all)
Python
Bash
Ideally Linux System Engineer
Experience with Puppet would be beneficial
Interested in or have dabbled in functional programming (Scala to Lisp)
Experience with BSD
Version Control Systems: Git or Darcs
Ideally experienced with build/deployment technologies, such as Maven, CMake, and Rake
