Crypto Native PR Lead

Flare is seeking a PR powerhouse to drive brand awareness: a crypto-native PR Lead with a black book brimming with relevant media contacts, a deep understanding of the blockchain landscape, and a passion for innovation.

You might be a web3 journalist looking to move in-house or have been heading up PR at another leading blockchain. The ideal candidate will possess a unique blend of crypto as a product and storytelling prowess. You must be aggressive and capable of crafting compelling narratives around our token and the layer 1 blockchain solutions we provide.

Reporting To: Head of Marketing

Key Responsibilities:

• Strategic Communication: Develop and execute cutting-edge PR strategies that effectively showcase Flare’s innovations, partnerships, and mission to a global audience.
• Media Relations: Leverage and expand your network of media contacts to ensure Flare’s achievements are broadly disseminated across key outlets. Secure interview and podcast opportunities for Flare’s CEO, Hugo Philion, and other members of the team.
• Content Creation: Create engaging and informative content, including press releases, articles, blog posts, and social media updates, that highlight Flare’s unique value proposition. Support the thought leadership program with a stream of op-ed opportunities.
• Market Insight: Integrate a deep understanding of industry developments, market trends, and the competitive landscape to position Flare strategically in all communications.
• Collaboration: Work closely with the marketing, social media, and community management teams to ensure brand consistency and message alignment across all channels.
• Crisis Management: Lead crisis communication efforts, swiftly addressing any PR challenges with strategic solutions.
• Community Connection: Engage with the blockchain community through events, AMAs, webinars, and conferences to foster strong relationships and brand loyalty.
• Impact Analysis: Measure and report the effectiveness of PR initiatives to the leadership team, continuously refining our approach based on data-driven insights.

Role Requirements:

• Experience: Minimum of 5+ years in public relations, with a significant focus on technology products (major plus if on cryptocurrency or blockchain industry).
• Connected: An established network of contacts within the crypto and blockchain media landscape.
• Journalism Background: Significant experience and contacts as a journalist in the tech space (writing and editorial will be a major responsibility).
• Crypto Savvy: Demonstrated knowledge of and passion for blockchain technology, cryptocurrencies, and the wider crypto ecosystem.
• Performance: A proven track record of successful PR campaigns within the crypto space, demonstrating creativity and impact.
• Communication Mastery: Exceptional writing and verbal communication skills, capable of translating complex technical details into compelling stories.
• Adaptability: Thrive in a fast-paced, startup environment, juggling multiple projects with meticulous attention to detail and a passion for making and meeting deadlines.
• Strategic Thinker: Proactive in identifying communication opportunities and solving problems, with a keen eye on the latest industry trends.
