Wonderstruck helps to shape the stories and visual identities behind some of the most respected brands in Crypto and DeFi

Wonderstruck is an independent global creative studio building brands and digital experiences that define tomorrow. We help shape the stories and visual identities behind some of the most respected brands in Crypto and DeFi. We employ design as a vehicle to create narratives that accelerate our clients’ success, relentless in our pursuit of better*—never settling for best.*

We apply this same radical approach with our people behind our world-class designs. We live by our people-first mentality. It’s not an empty buzzword for us; it’s how we celebrate, uplift, and inspire the minds behind our work.

Our Values

We’re not about you being “a good fit.” This breeds homogeny and we believe that we’re strongest when we celebrate our differences. We look for team players who are invested in our vision and share our values.

  • We relentlessly pursue better (it’s a theme). In other words, we welcome new experiences, enjoy being wrong, and seek new ways to grow. Many people hit the brakes when they feel fear— we hit the pedal and embrace the unknown.
  • We’re good people. We’re honest and transparent, we create space for others, and we lead with kindness.
  • We do the work. This is not a covert ad for grind culture; it means we’re committed to manifesting the future we envision through the effort we invest. Our work is our ticket to shaping a new tomorrow, our designs the bridge that propels the future into existence.

The Studio

  • We’re a fully remote, global team! We encourage you to work when you are most productive within the constraints of project work or meetings. Keep in mind that due to the nature of our business, we can’t promise a rigid 9-5 schedule in your local timezone but we always plan ahead and prioritize your well-being.
  • As a global team with asynchronous schedules, effective communication is critical to our collective success. At a minimum, we require* team members to possess an active command of the English language (the equivalent of a B2 level on the CEFR scale).

The Role

As Project Manager, you are an organized, strategic, positive team orchestrator who is responsible for guiding the execution of project objectives and deliverables as well as day-to-day engagement with clients. While you have prior experience delivering creative work and are deeply experienced with creative deliverables, your emphasis is on managing the client and the project, and you rely on the Design Lead’s and creative team’s expertise to elevate the work.

You own the day-to-day project schedule and manage client expectations, project costs, and quality while remaining flexible and focused on delivering the best solutions on budget and on time. You’re accountable for end-to-end management of projects, from brief-in to project launch. You continuously review processes to champion improvements, respecting the needs of our clients while considering the experience of the creative team.

The Opportunity

  • Own and facilitate the project management of all assigned projects within our project management tool including project set-up, resourcing, timelines, brief-building, information management, client communication, and feedback management, ensuring that all projects stay on track and within budget.
  • Lead a team to execute against a vision or concept determined by creative leadership, acting as a partner in execution to ensure the vision adheres to the brief and offering constructive input on project concepts, reflecting your knowledge of the stakeholder’s preferences and considerations.
  • Exercise discretion and good judgment in representing the company while regularly interfacing with and presenting to clients. Build meaningful relationships with clients rooted in reliability and trust, while serving as a knowledgeable, reliable and prompt communicator.
  • Maintain resourcing efficiency throughout the project lifecycle within our project management tool, minimizing down-time and ensuring team members are involved at the appropriate times.
  • Prioritize multiple projects and tasks, manage changes, and reliably meet deadlines, ensuring that project plans and tasks are clear, realistic, and inspire the creative team to do their best work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Execute project-specific duties including but not limited to asset management, final file review, file preparation for delivery, handoff, and project close-out.
  • Inform the Design Lead of project updates, sharing the status of your project milestones and overall project health and support the Design Lead on project management needs as needed.
  • Actively participate in team or department initiatives as requested, including day-to-day resource management, process improvement initiatives, administrative support in our project management tool.

Your Experience

  • Minimum 3 years experience in a design or creative studio as a project manager or similar role.
  • Thorough knowledge of general client and project management responsibilities including but not limited to guiding a project to remain within scope and anticipating project risks.
  • Experience interpreting and distilling client requests to create a clear and actionable brief that delivers on the ask and minimizes ambiguity.
  • Strong communication skills with a C1 English proficiency level on the CEFR scale with applications including meeting facilitation, presenting work, experience building and maintaining relationships, and the ability to clearly articulate goals and objectives.
  • Fluent in digital design best practices, trends, and terminology.
  • Intermediate understanding of Figma, experience in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) a plus.
  • Fluent in basic use of Linear, Notion, Google Suite and other project management tools.
  • Outstanding prioritization skills with the ability to work on a variety of projects across multiple clients within various constraints.

We’re an Equal Opportunity Employer

Research shows that women and other historically underrepresented groups tend to only apply for a job when they meet every single criteria. At Wonderstruck, we believe that each unique perspective adds value to our creative process and are dedicated to fostering an inclusive and equitable work experience for all. Even if your experience doesn’t check every point outlined above, but you possess the willingness to learn and the ambition to grow with a small team, we strongly encourage you to apply.

Compensation

Compensation will vary based on the following considerations: market location based on your primary work location, job-related knowledge, skills, and qualifications. We prioritize fair and equitable compensation for our team, and both welcome and encourage questions on this topic should we ask you to interview with us.
