About the Role

Sei Foundation is seeking an Incubation Lead aimed at sourcing and equipping world class founders building the next generation of onchain startups. This role is pivotal in identifying, investing in, and supporting early-stage projects and founders that have the ability to supercharge the Sei ecosystem. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in venture capital or 0-1 startup building, with a proven ability to identify and support promising projects and entrepreneurs. You will work closely with founders, providing them with the resources, guidance, and network needed to succeed.

Location: Must be based full-time in New York City.

Responsibilities

• Source and close world class founders to build and launch breakout applications on Sei via novel founder sourcing channels (YC, Alliance, hackathons, conferences, personal network, etc.)
• Give 0-1 growth, marketing and GTM support to incubated projects in the form of social strategy, KOL strategy, and community/cult building
• Research, ideate and scope venture-scale onchain applications focused on DeFi, AI and Consumer verticals
• Work hands on with founders & startups to provide mentorship and resources to aid their development and integration into the Sei ecosystem
• Build partnerships with VCs, angels and investment partners to fund emerging incubations
• Organize workshops, pitch days, and networking events to foster a vibrant community of world class founders & builders on Sei
• Monitor the progress of incubated projects and provide ongoing “portfolio support” and guidance to ensure their success
• Promote the incubation program within the blockchain community to attract top talent and projects

Requirements

• Experience in venture capital, entrepreneurship (ie former founder), or as a Chief of Staff for an early stage venture backed startup
• Proven success in venture capital, startup incubation, or a related field within the blockchain or tech industry
• Strong understanding of the blockchain industry and emerging trends across DeFi, AI and Consumer verticals
• Must have a world class founder, builder and investor network 
• Demonstrated ability to identify, support, and scale early-stage projects
• Proven ability to mentor and advise early stage startup founders on product strategy & GTM
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Strong research experience to be able to identify emerging trends before they are consensus 
• Experience with design tools such as Figma
• Experience with product management tools such as Notion, Asana, Miro, etc..
