About the role

About the Role: As Head of APAC, you will lead Infrared’s strategic expansion, liquidity growth, and partnership strategy across the region. You’ll work closely with leadership to unlock liquidity, onboard strategic partners, and expand Infrared’s presence in key APAC markets. This role requires deep expertise in DeFi, liquidity markets, strategic partnerships as well as a deep network within APAC’s crypto, trading, and institutional landscape. You will be responsible for shaping Infrared’s regional strategy, building high-impact relationships, and ensuring strong business execution. Key Responsibilities: ● Develop and execute strategies to secure liquidity across APAC markets, with a focus on TVL growth and institutional adoption. ● Build and manage relationships with funds, market makers, and large liquidity providers (LPs) to support Infrared’s ecosystem expansion. ● Identify, negotiate, and onboard strategic liquidity partners, ensuring long-term alignment with Infrared’s goals. ● Leverage your APAC network to unlock institutional DeFi opportunities, increasing Infrared’s market share and integration into key ecosystems. Partnerships & Business Development ● Find and close high-impact partnerships with APAC-focused institutions, corporations, and organizations to drive adoption and ecosystem expansion. ● Negotiate and structure special deals that align with Infrared’s long-term growth objectives, securing exclusive integrations and liquidity commitments. ● Engage with regulatory and institutional stakeholders to position Infrared strategically within the evolving APAC DeFi and blockchain landscape. ● Develop and execute GTM strategies, ensuring Infrared’s solutions are adopted by key players in the APAC market. Market Insights & Leadership ● Provide leadership with strategic insights on APAC market dynamics, competitive trends, and liquidity flows, ensuring Infrared remains ahead of the curve. ● Represent Infrared at industry events, conferences, and summits—speaking, hosting, and networking to strengthen our brand presence and thought leadership. ● Drive Infrared’s expansion into key APAC regions (e.g., Singapore, Hong Kong, Korea, Japan, Vietnam) with localized strategies tailored to each market. Requirements: ● Established network of funds, LPs, market makers, exchanges, and strategic partners across APAC. ● Deep understanding of DeFi, liquidity incentives, and financial markets, including staking models, market structure, and institutional trading dynamics. ● Proven ability to secure large-scale partnerships with institutions and major ecosystem players in the crypto space. ● 5+ years of experience in business development, partnerships, or strategy roles within DeFi ● Excellent communication and relationship-building skills ● Fluent in English and Mandarin (additional languages such as Korean or Japanese are a strong plus). Preferred Qualifications: ● Experience working at a top-tier DeFi protocol, crypto exchange, or institutional trading firm. ● Additional fluency in Korean or Japanese is a strong plus. ● Hands-on experience with liquidity management, staking mechanisms, or complex DeFi mechanics ● Experience in regulatory engagement and structuring institutional partnerships within APAC.
